I had to share this video. I got choked up watching it. He's such a humble hero.

The gentleman shown is an 84 year old WWII veteran who served as a sniper. He visited the Army Marksmanship Unit and was presented with a replica of the Sprinfield 1903-A4 that he carried during the war by Navy Arms. He got to shoot the 1903-A4, but also got to shoot a modern customized Remington 700. At 1000 yards shooting a man sized steel target with the Remington 700, he put 3 shots into the head of the target in a 5" group.

And the obligatory knife pron to make this thread legal. ;)

isheldon,

thank you sir for that, i definitely got choked up seeing that.

it reminded me of taking my Dad a 11th airborne division paratrooper, 101st tank destroyer and glider specialist, serving in WWII to the Paratrooper museum in Fayetteville, last year. All of the volunteer veterans found out that he was there and came out to greet him. Wished I had taken pics of us there as he passed on Jan 13th this year, but I have those memories forever.

Those were real men and a dying breed.
