It's been a long day of moving everything from one house to the other but I've finally a moment to write this out before moving things again:

I received out of the blue..well not completely out of the blue. Bob/BigBiscuit let me know something was coming from somewhere but never would I have known it was a gift given from Ron. I had commented on a thread that I had not yet owned or experienced a Case Knife and Ron saw so and in turn sent me this beautiful Small Texas Jack in CV/Amber Bone. I was floored when I opened up the box to discover this beauty. Smooth pulls, centered blades with mirrored finishes and no play. A beautiful example and an amazing gift from one of our members. Mind you, Ron and I have only spoken a couple times in the past but to be so giving is really something else. Watch your six Ron, I'll get you back >:) and thank you very much my friend.

As I told Tim, Ron is the real deal. A great friend and a great forum member. They don't come much better.
And Tim, as I mentioned in the PM, have a shower, and a cold beverage. Kick back and relax admiring that sweet Texas Jack. I was extremely humid today so I don't envy you having to move all that stuff in this heat.

Those sure are great knives Tim! I've enjoyed mine immensely:)
Ron, good on ya sir👍🏻👍🏻😄😄😄

I can already tell this will be in my rotation for quite a while :)

A great time to be gifted a knife, Tim! Good job, Ron (and Bob). :)

It'll prove to be a nice treat to enjoy later tonight Dean.

He is indeed Bob, I'l be sure to get to that as soon as we finish for the day. :D

Congrats Tim...on the knife and hopefully completing your move?

Bob, your a great member my friend and I applaud your help in the process, hope your feeling better buddy:thumbup:

Starting off with a Texas Jack as your first Case XX Knife is a great start indeed. Certainly one of my Favorite patterns from Case.

Congrats and a great gesture for sure.

Full hearts to both of you!!! And may the big smiles on your faces look just like the one on that beautiful loving corgi's face:D

Such a great homecoming gift,,,have fun with it Tim.

You keep a very clean engine also...and van!

Ron:thumbup:

Ron only joined a few months after I did, but I remember how I thought I hoped this guy would stick around when I read his post. I can testify that Ron is a great guy and a generous member here and am proud to be in his company.

Tim ~ You are a worthy recipient my friend. Your passion for tradtional cutlery is apparent and you always have something nice to say on the post of others.

Both of you gentlemen are valued here on the porch imo.

Well done.

Couldn't have worded that any better Paul. Well done guys.

Hey there everyone, just got back home, time to look at the texas jack and enjoy the night. Again thank you so much Ron.

It's a long way from being finished Paul but we made some headway. It's my second move, one back from nyc and now helping my family move to the new place. Having two sons in the family definitely pays out in free helpful labour :D

I can see why so many enjoy this pattern. The secondary blade is just as useful as the primary. Daresay I like the spear blade even more than the clip? ;) :D

He just has that 'make you smile' kind of face Primble :)

Full hearts to both of you!!! And may the big smiles on your faces look just like the one on that beautiful loving corgi's face:D

Liking that quote by Rumi Gevo, I've had a smile on my face all day whenever I pull this TJ out. It was paired with my dogleg and an Opinel today. :D

Nice TJ! Enjoy. Way to go Ron.

Thanks LastRodeo, and yes indeed

Ron:thumbup:

Haha Jake (Jsega51) was asking me if I rode at all by the look of my bike ;) My engine has been lucky recently with good days of riding and no showers.

Ron is a great guy and thank you Brett for the kind words. I'm just a newbie here but I hope to stay and progress with all ya'll on the porch as time passes.

Wow!

Great gift!

Cool dog too!

Thank you Mark, I hope you're doing well these days. Remy is my constant companion :)

Way to go Ron, great gift! Enjoy that Case TJ, Tim.

Thank you Brad, It's been handy today while opening up the packing Boxes. Case puts a ripping toothy edge on their knives, great for slicing.

Congrats on the Texas Jack, Tim!:thumbup: I've been very close to ordering that one several times, especially after reading this thread:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1150235-Cult-of-the-Texas-Jack-why-should-the-peaNUTS-get-all-the-glory?highlight=cult+texas+jack
You may want to join this cult; they seem to be a fun-loving group! :D:D
Hope you have a successful move without too much stress!
Very thoughtful gift, Ron; kudos to you, sir!!:cool:

Haha GT I saw that thread before making this one and I'll definitely post photos up as time progresses. Haven't been able to get my knife fix in yet for the day.
