I've heard that you're not suppose to keep knives in their leather sheath especially in humid climates. Has anyone had rust problems while carrying their sebenzas or mnandis in the CR sheath?

Love the Mnandi by the way.

ive never had a problem but i always keep it out of the sheath for long periods if im not carrying it. either way if you did have problems you could prob send it in to CRK and be fine. enjoy the crks , its hard not to.

In general, not a good idea, but most of the A2 knives are protected with GunKote, so if you put something like BoeShield or TufGlide on the edge, you are probably ok as long as you don't live near salt water. Sebenzas and Mnandis all have stainless blades and titanium or titanium/inlay scales, so I would be much less concerned about them - basically, I wouldn't worry about them at all.

Never had a rust problem but every time i come home for thhe night or when a knife goes into the safe i remove it from the leather sheath every time. This includes handguns and knives as well as with kydex. Maybe OCD but if you treat something with care it will treat you well for many years to come imho.
