Good Afternoon Fellow Hogs,
I'd like to dedicate this to all new and prospective Busse Knife Owners, Forum Members, and Knife enthusiasts alike. One thing we all share in common is our love for fine blades. When entering someone's home courtesy, humility, and respect go along way. The Busse Combat sub-forum has been one of the friendliest and most welcoming sub-forums that I've visited. It's because of that -- that has made feel comfortable asking stupid questions or sharing unpopular thoughts. I'd like to thank everyone who moderates this sub-forum and anyone affiliated with Busse/Bussekin Knives for being wonderful hosts.
To new or prospective Busse Knife owners and/or forum members -- remember that you're essentially entering the "home" of someone else when visiting this sub forum. Treat people with respect and show some humility and in return I'm sure you'll find a fountain of information and countless laughs and memories. I just got off the phone with a certain professional knife sharpener in the Los Angeles area and to say the conversation was unpleasant would be an understatement. This business owner/individual felt justified in showing irritation with some of the most basic questions any potential customer might have. While I won't go into too much detail, I can say that I was mocked for asking if he can produce a 40 degree inclusive angle on my NMSFNO. He claimed that an edge angle is the same thing as an inclusive angle and that anyone who said differently was clearly unfamiliar with all things related to knives. I hope others can hear me vent about this so that they can realize how off-putting that kind of tone can come across. Thanks everyone for listening and thank you Busse Knives for being the wonderful gracious hosts that you are.
