humm a new high for a buck lite?

Wow:eek:

It seems like the game commission will stock the bay with Scoutlites and Cublites from time to time and when you see one there may be a school swimming around. I have been in awe during those times at these going for $60 or more and figger there must be some sentimental fathers out there wanting to regain thier youth or share it with their kids-which is admirable but a little expensive IMHO-but holy crap thatsa loada cash.

I have not seen this before but if I remember correctly there is a Philmont Scout Ranch knife on this frame in addition to the standard BSA knife.

I don't have that one yet... :( ... And at that price I don't need it... ... But it would look good in my collection.... :D ....

Guys,

This knife is marked for adult scout leaders who have accomplished 'The Woodbadge' (pretty big accomplishment) which is symboled by a leather thong and two beads that go around the neck. As imprinted on the blade. Remember back a week or two and Goose and I were scout talking to sidecarr who had just finished his woodbadge.

Goose and sidecarr would probably agree, this was a unique marked scout knife that was of interest to adult leaders and so had high "output".

It would be an interesting photo to have Goose on his ride and me in camo with my longbow and camo face paint with a couple of big Buck fixed blades straped on our belts and it be titled "Your eagle scouts of the past" !!!!!

You get two beads for completeing woodbadge you get a third if your a staffer at a woodbadge program ,think you get 4 for being a scoutmaster for woodbadge and 5 for bringing woodbadge to a country that doesnt have it . saw that knife myself coulnt believe how high it went

I think its not fathers trying to relive their youth , its dads buying the knives they cuoldnt afford when they were young

I love mine and wouldnt mind a couple more, but I got mine in mint condition in the bay for $10. Its a sweet USA knife but its still plastic.

I collect the 422s and most of all the Bucklites... Most of mine I got for about $10 - $20 MIB 2 for $25 and I did buy 3 of them for $35 each... ... But don't tell no one... ;) ...

My guess is that it went for that much because of how complete the package was. Probably to a former scout.
