May only be news to me, but I just discovered this while browsing knives and thought I'd share. Didn't realize you could get a GEC  and a Case in this color!

Those are beautiful, love acrylics. That 35 is darn near a grail knife for me!

I only have one regret. I only bought the maroon linen micarta variant. I should have got one of each.

How young and stupid I was, believing that would be my only GEC.

I bought the micarta 35 thinking I could pick up the hummingbird variant a bit later. Boy was I wrong! I was able to acquire this little Case though. Even though it's difficult for me to get a good pic of it, I'm thrilled to have it. I like acrylics and it's one of the best.

When those came out I wasn’t buying traditionals, or I would’ve jumped all over that one!

What year was that case put out,I have been eyeing the hummingbird pattern.i might have an easier time getting the case.but I thought I viewed every case pattern available from shops that ship to canada,and I have never seen the case hummingbird.

I can't figure out what year they were produced but it's called "jungle green". Looks like it may have been a SFO. I'm not 100% sure.

Ya I looked it up,but doesn't list year.all you see is discontinued. It's amazing how similar they are,like the same recipe.

GEC and Case get their acrylic from suppliers- probably the same suppliers.
They definitely don't make their own.

I had that half whittler and passed it along to a buddy, can’t remember when it was made. They also did a Tribal lock in that jungle green camo

I did see a mini trapper as well if I'm not mistaken.

It's fantastic stuff, I'm not much of a photographer but I think it's something that's very difficult for anybody to capture. What I do know is that it looks a huge load better when you're looking at it in person

I agree. It’s such a strange color combination- part matte, part shiny… impossible to get it all in the same picture.

Definitely looks even better in person. You can really see into the material.

I'm now a proud owner of the infamous nearly extinct here in the Great white north,the much chased and revered immaculate gec hummingbird
