I just finished watching this program starring Nick Frost, the heavyset co-star (with Simon Pegg) of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Each episode features several scenarios and how to survive them (with Frost's irreverent commentary included along the way, often to the bewilderment of the real-life experts who guest star).
In the first ep, Nick demonstrates how to trap a gator in Florida, how to survive being impaled by a metal post, and how to survive a fall into a frozen lake, among other things...
It's primarily comedic, but there are some interesting tips presented and it's a nice semi-parody of other British survival shows *cough*.
(I rented the DVDs from Netflix; it looks like they're also available from Amazon.)
