A short hike yesterday yielded some great scenery and exercise. I brought along my Izula and Griptilian since it is a fairly populated area and the sheeple scare easy here in California. Interestingly enough, I ran into a guy with a bike/sled/scooter who had his two dogs rigged up like sled dogs. We discussed some ill behaved dogs we'd both run into on the trail and he instantly grabbed this 8 inch frost cutlery blade he had strapped to the steering column of his "sled" and said he was "ready for them". So much for the sheeple.

The dogs in question were Pit Bulls innocently playing on the trail and as we neared them the owner called out that they "weren't friendly" and called them back to him. I live in an area where people train and breed Pit Bulls for purposes other than a family member and lifelong companions. It's a shame really. The worst part is these dogs were off leash. I would like to have reported them but they would have been gone before someone showed up to investigate anyway. Next time I'm taking a large fixed under my shirt and some pepper spray.

Anyway, on to some pictures :D

I'm trying to get good with the Macro feature of my camera. Here's some local wildflowers:

Not to bad for a novice with a crappy camera. Over all, it was a great day. Invigorating and well deserved and much needed.

Yeah, he's like one big 65LB muscle. Our vet recently complimented us on his diet and overall care. She said they rarely get to see such fit dogs. People tend to overfeed and underexercise their dogs. It's a shame. They're happy when their healthy and we benefit from their happiness and health also. We did a ton of research on diet etc. I almost feel like a pet nutritionist now. One of my local Universities is on the front line of canine diet research so I have some great resources at my disposal.

Apologies for the lack of knife pron. Too worried about the sheeple to whip em out ;)

The Boxer's name is Niko. He'll be nearly two years old soon. They grow up so fast!!!
