This is a hunter that was ordered to match a hawk and bowie set I sold last fall.I have to do just a little clean up on this one after I put the final coat of danish oil on it tonight and its finished except for the sheath.. OAL 9 3/4" w 5" blade, 580 layers with a 36 layer cutting edge. Guard, spacer and pommel are same damascus. Maple handle with sterling silver inlay. I'm still needing a lot of practice with this new camera, lots of shadows and bright spots.

Knife looks good as always, Mr B. Interesting welding on the blade.

Foto work is coming along nicely! Obviously you been hanging on that foto forum, cuz yer starting to talk like a shutterbug.... :)

John, I do believe the pattern came out pretty close, which really surprised me, I'll get started on the sheath today and send you another picture when its finished.

Fitz, it was a little scary welding the cutting edge on, I had a good amount of time in the billets and figured I would screw everything up on the final welding session. But the welding genie was with me and granted my wish again. Thank goodness. ;)

Holy Toledo Bill, I was wondering how you got that pattern along the edge....now I know. Great work! Now I don't know who's work I like better, Ray's or Bill's...hehehehe Let's get a contest going on great pieces, then everyone's a winner. Thanks guys! John
 
Very nice work as always Bill, I think I need to design up a nice little hunting knife or revive my little take off of the sharp finger.

I really like that Tomahawk, beautifull dark wood and awesome damascus are a great
combo, I think I might get me one these to go with my bows, have great weekend
everybody, sportman's show is in town here in Portland OR this weekend, lots of

Great addition to an already impressive set. I've said it before but I'll say it again, I REALLY like your damascus. Beautiful knife as usual Bill!
 
Great set, and great hunter, I realy like your work and the inlay sets it off. I've got a little silver inlay wire somewhere and your making me want to dig it out and try some.
