it has a 5 1/8" 1084 blade, snakewood scales, nickel liners and a black canvas micarta frame. soldered guard & 7 domed pins made of nickel. loveless style sheath. i think it is an excellent sheath for a double lugged guard. i made two at the same time, the other is in ironwood. the first photo shows the parts laid out. pardon the reflections on the blade. thanks for looking :)

Another exceptional knife......:)

I really like the style.....you always do such a seamless solder job, the fit/finish is superb, and that frame with those pins is great.

That's pretty slick. I like it a lot.

The only thing I would have liked to see different was another big pin the same distance from the guard as the other big pin is from the butt end of the knife.

To me, that one bigger pin so far back looks just a touch out of place.

I would have moved the front two smaller pins forward towards the guard too so that you had more of a symmetrical pin pattern.

Other than that, really, really nice.

I like this design, and I think the way you built the handle would make this a light, quick knife. can you show a pic of how you fastened the macarta piece to the guard.

nice work

Looks to me like the perimeter pins fasten the handle components together and the single large pin fastens the handle to the tang/guard......but that's just me. ;)

thanks for the kind compliments. bigjohn, dawkind has it correct. the small pins hold the layers of the handle together in one piece. the larger pin through the tang holds the handle snug to the guard.

man, thats on another level, glad to see you constantly upping your game!
