I asked Bud for a small hunter for me to take with me when I go to Scotland stalking Red Deer and this is what he produced, just what I asked for.

It is on it's way to Paul Long fot it's clothes, looking forward to using it!!

That is really nice - should make for a terrific companion - happy hunting!

Roger, Big Rick wanted a steel that would stay sharp,I chose CRU FORGE V,This was a1" round bar.
Chuck ask?where are the bolsters, this model does not have them,I do install them some time.
Thanks guys,Big Rick good Hunting,It is a bitch to hand finish,It will skin an Elk ,and cut it up.Bud

Very nice guys! :)

Another great example of how a knife made with function in mind PLUS pleasing lines, complimenting colors, and quality construction, make for a VERY good looking knife. :)

CruForge is great stuff! I haven't tried to hand finish it though.

Best of luck Rick!!! :)

BTW Rick- if you decide you want to revisit the Southwest Rib Tickler, I'm pretty sure you could use it to do the hunting. ;) :)

Bud,

That's a sweet looking hunter and a great companion for Rick's trip up north.

Good job there,

John
