Pablo,

I like the checkering on the handle. Wish I had the equipment and could pull it off.

I'm not sure if you posted this just as a "Look what I did" or if you might be seeking a bit of "feedback".

Regardless, here is my take based only on the photos......

In my humble opinion, the grind line needs to come up quite a bit, and the crisp grind line is washed out at the bottom of the ricasso.

The sand scratches running horizontally resemble something that could have been done on a concrete curb.

The handle material needs a "finished" look. Seems like after the CNC work, you just slapped them on there.

Pin placement is pretty nice, although the "thong-hole" tubing needs a bit of sharp edge relief.

Hang in there........don't let an old "geezer" like me discourage you. Think "Fit and Finish".

Robert, thank you for taking the time to comment on my knife. I will answer below your comments:

Pablo,

I made with a CNC router I designed and assembled many years ago :)

Let me say that photos are not my highest point, they could be better :) I like honest feedback, if it weren't for it I would be still doing pretty crappy knives :)

The grind line at it height its by design, I wanted to make a knife that shows its weight and strenght and once you have it in your hands this is clearly accomplished.
Regarding the ricasso, you are correct, rookie mistake there.
The sand scratches you mention are surface grinder marks, I liked what ithey looked like, but you are the second that mentions it would be better if properly sanded.

The handle material needs a "finished" look. Seems like after the CNC work, you just slapped them on there.

I think the photos do not make justice to the handle, it looks far nicer in person, one thing I did after taking them is to remove the little epoxy excess you can see at some pins.

Pin placement is pretty nice, although the "thong-hole" tubing needs a bit of sharp edge relief.

Its not sharp believe me, you can sweep your finger above it and you will barelly notice, mostly because of the pattern in the handle.
Its really difficult to take the pins to be level with the handle without damaging the pattern, took me a fair amount of time...

Hang in there........don't let an old "geezer" like me discourage you. Think "Fit and Finish".

Old Geezer LOL I'm not discouraged, its the opposite, I'm thankfull for the honest feedback.

Cheers
