Newt will sharpen the false edge at your request. I was thinking about getting one with the sharpened false edge, primarily as a "big" fighter. Newt told me that it was probably too big to be a quick fighter (it was more of a big camp knife), and recommended I look at his Model 100(?) 82nd Airborne. I ended up getting the 82nd...

The HKR is an all around large camp knife design tweaked to serve also as a fighter and killing knife (e.g., sentry elimination). As such it is not ideal in either role, but darned close actually (at least for the camp role, I can't speak to the other from experience), and a really nice knife for the price!
