Well, I enjoyed doing the Woodsman run, and now that I am full time I want to do several more runs. They'll be small runs of 10 participants max. This time you will get your choice from a selection of handle materials I have good stock of. I don't take money up front, but please don't sign up if you're not serious about taking the knife.

Here are the handle choices. I have Natural Canvas Micarta, Black Canvas Micarta, and Red Linen Micarta. For wood, I have Cocobolo, Wenge, Osage, Curly Hickory, Bocote and Paduk in plenty, and will limit the exterior wood choices to those. For underlay, I have Natural Canvas Micarta, Black Canvas Micarta, Maple, Hickory, Paduk, East Indian Rosewood, and Osage. You can pick and choose from this list.

My knives are 01 steel with a full height convex grind and I use at least one Corby Bolt (ss) on the handle. I start with 5/32 thick 01 stock.

The price is $175 shipped for this knife. A JRE sheath will be made available for purchase, or, you can choose to have Tal make you a sheath. You will have to negotiate a price with him at that time. As a LAST resort, I will make you a sheath for $75 minimum.

This thread is the signup for the run of Hunters. Please detail your handle choices in your post.

1. TonyM - Red over Black Micarta, Red Liner - Thanks Tony
2. CMR3137 - Osage over Walnut, Red Liner, Bullseye Lanyard Tube - Thanks CMR
3. Shilohreb - Bocote over Osage - Black Liner - Thanks Tank.
4. Rockywolf - EIRW and black liner - TF sheath
5. t1mpani - Wenge over Maple, Red Liner, Plain Tube - Thanks t1!!

All knives will have a liner!

Count me in for a Hunter as well, Andy. I know I want the osage as the external wood, undecided on the underlay or liner color. TBD shortly. :)

I will take one of these beauties in Bocote over Osage, you can pick the best color liner, I trust your call 100%. I would like brown JRE with a firesteel loop to accompany it.

Any decent brave would swap his bow and quiver for this setup! Thanks Andy.

I don't suppose you think just a handle with E Ind Rosewood would look good or be possible, do you, Andy?

Yes of course! I can do that. You guys don't have to choose layered handles you know.

Sorry about the lengthy delay, Andy. I think the curly walnut or the paduk would look fine under the osage, especially combined with a red liner. Really, any dark brown wood under the osage would be fine; please feel free to suggest the wood that will look the best and be durable as well. The red liner seems to go well with the osage.

The Walnut will be pretty. Its a combo I like to do. Red liner will stand out nicely. Regular lanyard tube?

Sign me up, please---

Wenge over Maple with a red liner and steel lanyard loop. Is the JRE a drop sheath or pouch?

Warren Higgins

Thanks T1!! The JRE sheath will be a pouch sheath.

Andy, I may have changed my mind on the lanyard tube. I like the way the Dad's Woodsman lanyard tube turned out. Was that the same wood or the G-10 filler? Can you do something similar that matches the osage? Thanks.

I have two materials for bullseye lanyard tubes. Those are G-10 and the paper micarta. I have not been able to find any other materials available to me in small qty's. I plan to try to match the material to the handle when choosing bullseye material. I'd definitely think the paper micarta would look neat on yours, because it would be similar to the walnut.
