Well here she is folks. For all of you that was following it. For those of you that were not, some time ago I held a name your own mod contest. Mr. Hunter Sharp won with his hollow handle survival knife, a kick back to the old junkers we all had as kids. Here's the WIP thread. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1038265-Hunter-Sharps-BK14-giveaway-WIP-thread well now its pretty much complete. A few tweeks here and there but I can scratch it off of my to do list. A MAJOR thanks goes out to Murph, who donated the knife, and Mr. K9 Handler for his AWESOME duracoat job, and of coarse Ethan for making a great knife at a affordable price for which we can do stuff like this. Enjoy!

All of the contents you see in the last pic fit securly and water tight inside the handle. There is a mini pair of scissors, 50ft. Of fishing line wrapped around 2 harness neddles, so you can use it for fishing or sewing, 6 strike anywhere matches, 5 fishhooks/sinkers, and a mini flashlight.

I actually think that its pretty bad ass...lol Its definitely, worth a chuckle, but its also pretty impressive what you did, and how well it turned out.
Nice job.

Can we get a view inside the handle? I'm curious how it is all attached.

Go up to the top of the tread and click the WIP thread that is attached, and it shows you how I made it.

But to answer your question real quick, its all welded together forming it into one piece.

That's FANTASTIC!
Good WIP too, btw. I am jealous of your upright rockwell tester.

Dude, great job all around even down to the kit inside. I got a chance to handle this a bit yesterday, pretty bad ass.

That is excellent work that you and K9 Handler did. Thanks to Murph for the knife donation and Hunter Sharp for the concept. Also, the WIP thread was informative and entertaining. Kudos to all.

And we've been spending all this time and effort trying to attach survival goodies to our sheaths... :D

Good work. I think it's actually pretty cool. It's certainly of better quality than most hollow handled survival knives.

I don't even know what to say..... I have told Tyrone thank you about sixty three times but its still not enough. Thank you so much Tyson for this awesome blade package, and thank you K9 for your contribution, this thing looks freakin awesome! It looks just the way I drew it up on paper except Tyler made it even better! When I get this, I want to see that it has had lots of hard use at Uncle E's, oh and make sure you, K9 and E sign it for me :D

P.S.
as soon as I get this bad boy I'm going down to the pond, I hear some pan fish calling my name! I will post up a full review of the knife along with the use of the contents inside the handle. I have some ideas about using the handle and sheath as a real, just as you would a can or hobo fishing rig. Good stuff!
