I just received some lanyards today that I wanted to try on my Fiddlebacks. I had a small one made for my Runt.

The large lanyards are functional if you slide the braid. I was just wondering what the opinions are ??

Use em and see how you like em. I like it on a small knife like the runt for getting out quick from a pocket sheath but on most knives lanyards just get in my way but that is just me. I don't drop knives.

Funny because I like a lanyard hole in a knife handle but I almost never use it.

I've never used a knife with a lanyard. I purchased these from a local guy just starting an on-line business. I think they look pretty cool but I haven't used them yet and that is the final deciding factor.

Nice looking lanyards. Neato!

Those are nice. I have a braided lanyard on my Palmer (came that way). It looks really nice, but it kinda gets in the way....almost as big as the knife.

Great knives and lanyards. Those always take me back to the boon doggle days as a scout.

They do look cool in person. Each one really works on it's assigned knife.

There are black liners on the Runt so the small black looks NICE!

The Terassaur has natural liners. The coyote tan and black lanyard matches well.

The Hunter also has black liners so the black lanyard is cool.

I'm looking forward to trying these out. I'll pull them off if they get in the way. The Runt I'm almost certain with be fine.

I dont care for keeper straps on sheaths. Just about the only way I know to get around that is a very deep pouch style of sheath. But that brings up its own issue- the deeper the pouch, the less of the handle left exposed to withdraw the knife. I end up making lanyards for most of my knives to help here. Gives you something to tug to get your knife.

I like your lanyards. Especially the little guy.

Those look great.
Lanyards a nice on small handle knives. They give you a little extra grip length to the handle.
Good example on this bow legged joe.

Man! I've loved your set up on the Bow Legged Joe ever since you first showed it.

I guess it kind of depends what you use your knife for. I can see deer blood and fat getting caked into those lanyard making a nasty mess. Another thing to have to clean. If using a knife on wood I guess there would not be an issue. I would not want a lanyard on a knife primarily being used to process animals.

Let us know how they work out for you.

My dedicated hunting knives do not have lanyards.

good looking lanyards...I tried some on my Nessie and Terassuar but after one day in the field I took them both off...they really didn't work for me. I do think they are cool lookin' though...if it works for ya stick with it...
