Hi folks,

I finished up another order today for a forum member here. He purchased a small Bird & Trout in Bocote from me a while back and wanted a larger matching knife and sheath to pair with it. Comments and questions are welcome; thanks in advance for viewing my work, and I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Specifications:

- 3/16" thick 1080 with hand-rubbed satin finish
- full-height flat grind
- ~4.5" blade and ~9 3/8" OAL
- Natural Bocote handle scales with stainless pins and thong tube
- Black hand sewn, tooled, and wet molded Wickett & Craig pouch sheath

I love your slender handles. And your blade shapes. And your sheaths, too. And your plunges. Wow.

WOW, that is a great looking hand rubbed satin!!

That is something I still struggle with in my own shop. Very inspiring to see yours.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Jonny! I've spent many, many frustrated hours hunched over blades in my shop with cramped wrists and fingers trying to 'perfect' the hand-rubbed satin finish, and I'm finally getting to the point where I'm pleased with the results I'm able to achieve. Simple in concept, but not simple at all to do well...

+1 on that whole quote... clean work is the most attractive work, and that's some clean lines you got there.

Thanks rusty, I really appreciate your nice feedback!
