Here's an upscale hunter I just finished. I really like the overall profile of this one. It has just the slightest hint of a persian sweep to the blade.

1080 steel, clay quenched
8 1/2" overall, 4" blade .130" at the ricasso
416 SS bolsters, dovetailed
Engraved scroll work by Gordon Alcorn of Bozeman, MT
Carved and textured african blackwood scales
Twisted rope filework along entire spine and butt end

John That is very Nice it has a very warn look it shows a lot of nice work without looking over done. I like it.

Good solid design with embellishment that embellishes without taking over. I approve!

I need to try out some African blackwood at some point. Really like the looks of it.

Great looking hunter. Engraving is top notch, glad to see a local doing such fine engraving. Gorgeous package. See you in Boise. Cheers,Kris

You did a great job on the knife. I've never been a fan of file work but I like what you did. I'm not real crazy about the long bolster. I would like it better being half the size. Just my taste.
