Hi

I have forged a stainless sanmai blade for this hunter. Center core is a german 1.4111, an old stainless razor steel with fine grain, outher layers from a stainless steel with 0,2% carbon ...softer but tough. Main intention for this was a tryout to make a stainless damascus in the future. "Spacer" and endcap are made from titanium 6Al4V , spacer is hollow and surrounds the grip. Grip is own made carbonfiber and epoxy, made of 6mm short fibers. I have hardened the blade also on my own to let the tang soft at the end to rivet it with the endcap. Overall length is something around 9 Inch. This knife is not typical for me. I prefer natural materials but sometimes I make different things to come " back to the roots" after that.

I really like the clean lines and modern materials juxtaposed with the forge finish on the ricasso, very nice

Sehr Schön!

I like the straight clean and elegant lines.

If possible, post a pic of the knife in a full side shot, pls.

and a pic of the sheath too.

A forged stainless - what's not to like? :)

Dear folks

Here the pics. The leather sheath is black made by myself. I have forged a " how do you name it" buckle (?) from titanium to wear it inside a belt.
