Here is a hunter I just finished. 5160, curly maple, and 416 stainless fittings. Thanks for looking. Brett

Lookin' good Brett. 5160? Remind me later to find out where you're getting clean 5160. Good job bro.

Brett,

Good job. The blade shows up a bit fuzzy but it looks like nice dimensions. I especially like the guard and butt areas of the handle, although the central part seems like it might be a little straight, and it's a little hard to tell if it's a little too round or flat in the center. It seems large enough for heavy chopping so if it is then it might have a tendency to roll in your hand. The grain in the wood looks really good too.

Every time I see your name I think that you should have a Gatlin Gun as a makers mark.

That's looks like a very nice knife. The angle that the picture is taken from can make the dimensions look a little out of wack. Do you have a direct side shot? What are the dimensions, by the way?

Brett, great job! I really like the wood, and the shape of the handle! Specifications, please.

Thanks all. Sorry about the poor pics but I am playing around with different setups and lighting. The knife has what might be referred to as a modified drop point. While I was at the Intro to Bladesmithing school, Greg Neely had a template and wanted us to forge a knife to it's shape. I really like the design. The drop starts at the guard. The blade is 5 inches and the handle is around 4 1/4. Width of blade is 1 1/4. Thanks for the interest. Here is (hopefully) another side shot. Brett Keith, I like that idea!!

Brett, that knife is a beauty.

I don't know if you remember me, I met you at Al Lawrence's in the middle of June. I was outside talking with you and Mike Williams-

Thanks again for the comments. Matt, I wasn't sure til I saw you were from Ohio, then it hit me. It was a pleasure meeting you and the rest of your class. Some of you guys were forging very well! Drop me a line and send me some pics of your work. Take care, Brett
