Hunting Boots??

Need some help here for some hunting boots. Should i get the 8" or the 15" snake boots. Doing a lot of hunting in California (rattlesnakes) we see some just about every time out. shold i just be safe and get the high snake boots.

I've been happy with 8" hi hunting boots, mainly to keep stickers and dirt out of my boots. Snakes? dunno.
