I'm curious about other folks preferences in handle material for a pure HUNTING knife.
I've used wood, bone, plastic, micarta, antler, and Kraton.
It seems to me that the kraton grips are the easiest to use when dressing out large game, but only Cold Steel offers them, so they must not be very popular with most knife users. Yet they seem to offer a better grip than any other handle material when wet and slippery in a bloody body cavity.:jerkit:
Is it aesthetics that turns most folks against kraton?
I guess that I'm curious why all manufacturers don't offer kraton as an option for hunting knives.
What is everybody else's preference for hunting knives??
Ben
