I recently completed this hunting knife. The blade steel on this knife is Nitro-V from Aldo. The OAL of the knife is 9" and it has a cutting edge of 4". The desert iron wood handles, I can't remember from whom I got them, on the knife are pretty awesome (imho). I'm still working on refining my filework but in general I'm okay with how it worked out. I had the filework going around the end of the tang, but it looked like caca, so I removed it. That gray area on the spine is a lighting issue and not scratches, etc. The pattern is one Gene Baskett showed me and that he uses quite a bit. I just sent it out for a sheath and plan on having this one with me at the ICCE in Kansas City. Thanks for looking and your comments, critiques, etc are welcomed.
