Hunting Knife Manufacturers Reference

I hope this is the right arena - I liked the "Traditional" title.
I'm looking for a reference that gives good descriptions of hunting knives manufactured in the 1940-1960 era. In particular, I am interested in the companies, their markings, and designs. Such companies as Imperial, Utica, Hammer, Colonial, Western, Kinfolks, etc., are my main interest.
The reference material I find, and have purchased some, deal more with current products. These seem to concentrate on today's manufacturers.
So, does anyone here know of such a source covering the earlier manufacturers, or can someone point me in the right direction?
Any, and all, help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks.

Ron..there are dozens if not hundreds of titles available....try Half.com...its a used internet bookstore...some of the Levine offerings should tell you the info you want and be available at a used price. I did a quick search and came up w/a number of books that should cover those general years and they ranged from a few dollars to about $15 each...type "knife collecting" or "knife guide" into the search window, then subselect "BOOKS" and see what you can find...good luck...
