That's a beautiful knife. Please don't take this the wrong way but when I see the area at the plunge line ground away near The Cutting Edge. Is it to remove an unsightly flaw or is there another purpose?

Sending a PM to ask this question would have been better than crapping on this thread.

I don't think I understand you well but if you're talking about this area:

It's not a flaw. When the cutting edge is multiple sharpened it helps to keep the line of the blade.

Can't you read? Or don't you understand English. I asked for forgiveness in the beginning Move Along nothing to see here

Thanks for the explanation. I certainly didn't think it was a cover-up, but I didn't know how to ask the question a different way. Does this feature have a name? How is it done?

let's keep this thread drama free, please.

Sorry for the late answer. I've also heard it's called ''sharpening choil''.

When do you do it? Before or after sharpening? And is it drilled or ground out? No drama here just honest questions.

Is it an integral? Which means from a solid piece of steel? Very nice.

If I understand right the question - Yes, it is full tank.

Thank you guys.
That means all the bolsters, handle and blade are one piece of metal. The bolsters are not attached with pins or anything but part of the handle already. Not separate pieces soldered onto the handle. I hope that helps.

Thank you Dusty One!

I understand know.I'm sorry my English isn't that good. The bolsters are pinned and the montage of the scales is dovetail.
