I do some quail and rabbit hunting whenever i get some time off. I take my Winkler belt knife whit me, I use it for food preparation, works well. It a great hunting knife, animal and human. :p

I even use the Winkler axe to butcher a few pigs when we wear out on patrol in Oaxaca, I shot a wild pig and made a meal for my men that to this day still gets talked about. Maybe it was the fact that we hadn’t eaten anything in 2 days. You can see sum of the blood splatter from the pig on the wall.

This knife was supposed to be done for my 2010 sheep hunt, but I didn't get it done till later. I used it in October for antelope:

bill burke makes some great damascus, but i believe the majority of knife makers realize that straight carbon & some atomic alloys will outlast damacus in edge durability.---dennis

Did someone say hunting knives? :D These are some of my favorites. I just love the old Marble's patterns in 52-100B. These are in buffalo horn. And I've become rather fond of Eddie White's knives also. One is redwood burl, the other black and red linen micarta, 440C. I'm kind of a fixed blade junkie.

I cleaned three deer with this David Farmer last fall. L6 carbon steel and bamboo handles.
Great blade: light, sharp and EXTREMELY tough.

I picked this one up a while back. It's only been hiking, not hunting, but this will be the blade I use when I go after a hog.

Here's one that's actually been used. Lots of very pretty and new looking blades in this thread. :) Anyway, BK11 rocks as a hunting knife - the blade is the perfect size and cleanup couldn't be much easier.
