Hunting season...limited shop time...got a batch finished.....

That one with the green micarta is sweet Bruce! Love the looks of it. I was wondering if you were still making knives as I hadn't seen much from you.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the hunting season though :)

Great lookin blades. I think that big one with the green scales would look killer with the same wood thats on the hunter right above it. Still they look great.

Happy hunting.

Wow, they are all really , really, cool. That's some mighty fine work there sir.

Well I never stopped making knives, but I did slow down a little;) I'll try to have one available for sale here on the EE a little more often:thumbup:

Quint - the hunter and the drop point chopper are both wearing cocobolo. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder - some guys like micarta, others wood. My personal preference is wood. The drop point on the right has local white birch burl that was harvested by a friend (also my knife making mentor), then sent to WSS for stabilizing.

Thanks Krav.

That drop point is a dream knife. What hunter doesn't need that one?

I hear you on the limited time. Besides my real job I still have 3 food plot fences to mend, feeders to fill, stands to clean, cameras to reset and a new hunting truck to get ready. Someday I will clean the barn...... Right. Thank goodness I am in a country I can do hose things and a family that cares enough to some of them with me. I still can't convince the wife to fix barbwire fence with me.

The hunter in the left looks awesome. Anyone would be proud to own that one. What blade steel are you using?

Thanks protourist - its going to a local moose hunter.

RWT - the choppers are 5160 and the smaller knives are CPM 154. One day I would like to hunt hogs.....are there any to be found around Austin?

Hope it wasn't offensive my comment about wondering if you still made knives. It really wasn't my intention. I figured you were still making them, I just wondered if you had stepped back from posting/advertising since I know you are busy with your job and hunting :) Having talked to a few knifemakers, seems like the fastest way to lose your love for making them is to develop a long order list.

At any rate, glad to see your work. I love the blades you made for me, and anyone who gets one from you really is making a smart choice. You do some mighty fine grinds that cut really well are still durable!

Last thing...cool to see you working in some stainless and looks like your leather game has improved even more! My sheaths are outstanding quality and super tough but I see you're doing inlays and stamping now which is cool.

No worries, no offence taken. There are probably a few guys here that were wondering if I was still around:)

I've been playing with tooling and dying sheaths two toned. I do have some ostrich skin here that is waiting to be an inlay.......

Bruce

Lucky guy. Both for getting that knife and being a Moose hunter. Moose is far and away my favorite meat. I hope he gives you some steaks.

Great looking pens! Must took you time finishing them all. The grain on the wood handle is nice. I like you attention
to details.

That drop point... wow. It's a thing of beauty. It's understated and perfect. Hat's off to you, sir.

Nice work! I love the down-to-earth, organic look.

Just have to ask; what are you hunting, godzilla?
