Hunting season?

I live in what they call "Zone C" in Florida.

Archery season starts this month, the 18th.
Muzzle loading only runs October 23rd, through Nov. 5th
General Gun starts November 6th, and runs through January 23rd.

All in all, it is a pretty generous season :)

I can't WAIT to get in the woods, and, er, 'harvest' another deer. ;)
 
I don't know because I don't have a tag (next year). However, when I came back from bike riding this morning there were over 30 in my neighbor's orchard grass/alfalfa fields and another 14 in my yard. One 4x4 and a large-bodied 3x3. The other bucks were smaller.

I was surprised to see a couple very small fawns. Most fawns were born months ago and are almost as large as a small doe. Because we have a super-rich food supply and generally moderate Fall climate, I think that the late-born little guys ought to survive.

I've got one of your Bowies and it holds a nice edge.

for reasons that elude me, the 2010 Deer season in Australia is from March until October.

why we have a "season" for the destruction of invasive feral pest species is beyond me. i rekon they should be fair game 24/7/365, same as every other damn feral pest in this country.

at least i can go plug pigs, goats, foxes, cats and dogs with my bow anytime i like.

November 19, 20, 21 (first season)
December 2, 3, 4, 5 (second season)
