Hunting/Skinner knife Recommendations-

Hi all, looking for a hunting/skinner fixed blade for skinning and dressing deer. He wants wood handles, with leather sheath, kind of a classic look. budget is up to $300 (willing to pay for quality). Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Wood handled classics?...one of these is what you want..hand forged ,double tapered tang,carbon steel,,,,..................FES

For about 100 $ you can get a custom puukko with wood handle and for about 140 $ a custom one with birch bark handle. Birch bark is widely used by hunters in Finland as it's waterproof and never slippery even if covered with blood, mud etc.

A hunting pukko would just have a more bellied blade.
