Alright guys, it's gettin to be that time again. I want some Huntin Stories. Whether you were takin your kid out for their first hunt or whether it was your one-hundredth hunt. It doesnt matter to me. If you have pictures those are more than welcome. The type of game you were hunting also doesnt matter. As long as it was animal. Thanks guys and gals.

heres a funny one for you.we were on large lease and spotted a flock of turkeys way across a canyon.this was west tex. so brush was minimal & we could see a long way .my brother was shooting a highdollar custom 243. i was using a rem. 700 adl in 243 with my handloads.bought it used for 225$ i guess we were about 350 yds.we sat on ground & started blazing away.it's crazy but the turkeys did'nt see us & just kept milling around. we shot the rifles empty & loaded add. rounds from our pockets.we were taking careful shots & still turkeys milling around. walked back to truck & got more ammo, came back , sat down & started up again.my 243 would do 3/4 in. at a hundred but my brothers 1700$ just had to outshoot mine [in his opinion] finally after holding about 12 in. over the head i saw one jump & figured a hit. they flew & we walked over but could'nt find bird. our buddy took his brittany over & found the dead bird.i had to rub my brother about his high dollar custom not outshooting my generic 243. since then i advise newbies to buy a rem. 700 unless they want a status gun.if they want to impress i tell them to buy a sako.

Well last friday I went on a Hunt here on the Eastern shore in MD. I was hunting deer and it was Muzzleloader (does only) and I took my bow along JIC. At about 4:45 I spotted a nice 100 pound doe and gave her 295 grains of power belt and she ran right toward the damned bay. She died in 9 to 10ft tall bullrushes about 5 feet from the bay and I let her lay. about a half hour later overlooking the field the deer really started to come out. Within 45 minutes of that first doe I had another 30+ deer all circuling the field (I was hunting a hedge row).

Out of nowhere this 8pt buck busts up the party and starts running the doe all over hell and gone and I grab my bow. He luckily ran the edge of the field and I grunted. He stopped about 25 yards in front of me and I hit him right behind the front shoulder. He turned....ran about 100 yards and died accross the field just inside of the tree line. I tracked the blood trail even though I didnt need too and carried my bow with me. When I found him more doe were coming out into the field. I could have shot them too if I had wanted too as one came within 30 yards as I was field dressing the buck just inside the woods. After I got him out into the field I went and retrieved the doe with the help of a friend.

Two deer with two different weapons within less than an hour. I have shot 2 deer with rifle and shotgun (buck and a doe also) before but never with two different weapons. Was a real treat for me and something I'll never forget.

my dad, my brother, and i have all had to remove the tp from our barrels, stand up and drop a deer for my dad and brother, and a moose for me.
