Might go pig hunting Monday. Getting my stuff together, figured I'd snap a quick pic. I know everything looks too clean :o. But I'm new to hunting so what'd you expect:p?

Goin' gator hunting next weekend myself, fish bow with reel and a 12 gauge. My camelbak isn't camo, but I don't think the gator will mind.

Hey the camo were the only one's on sale :p$50 for a maxpedition falcon. I'm not a big camo guy. But my brother has been hunting for ~25 years and he;s stuck in his ways. I'd rather just wear the stuff than listen to him grumbling:D.

I understand cuz, I go for what works, not what is in "style". My gear is top for what i need, usually second hand scarred. Smurf the new shit, I just want what works!!

sweet hog. Do you mean 7mm-08? If so it was one of the three calibers I considered. Is that an old school Badger?

Depending how thick the brush is, I'd start w/ your scope turned as low as possible. IE; if it's a 3x9 scope, set in on 3x.

Nothing more unnerving than being charged by a mad pig and all you can see is fur in your scope, not knowing where on the hog it is.

Great minds think alike----I have almost that same combo----Tikka T3 laminated/stainless---.30-06---Zeiss Conquest 3x9x40---Burris picatinny bases---and Leupold QRW rings.

I gotta admit, liked the laminated stock better. Just not $170 better. I went with Warne Maxima rings that use the factory dovetail.
