Jeep131 and I have talked, and it was decided that I would be taking orders for the Huron Bushcrafter and Huron Bushcrafter 2. This will help prevent any confusion on what handle materials to order, and other things that might come up. Price for either model will be $159.00 plus shipping, or if you preorder by March 1st, $149.00 with free shipping! Remember, you do not pay untill your order is ready to ship. Payment can be made by money order, Visa, Mastercard, or Paypal, to Howes Knife Shop. These will be ready to start shipping by June 1st, possibly a little sooner. When ordering, email me at jkiedaisch@sbcglobal.net with your model choice, handle choice and phone number.

Difference between Bushcrafter 1 and 2? Convex versus scandi grind maybe?

Wondering if I could change my bushcraft order to one of these? Argh! I like too many yet can't afford them all.

I just added it up, and all of John's 2010 line (including this one) add up to $2,674.00 so that's all you need...until you start wanting the custom designs, haha

Now if only I could just win that much in the lottery and get me a complete JK 2010 Set :P

Put me down for a Huron Bushcrafter 2. We can work out the handle and everything by email. I REALLY like this one!

Well Guys, the Huron Bushcrafter came in today from John @ JK Handmade Knives, and its better than the pics! John put a 4 1/2" handle on this knife/3 1/2" Scandi grind blade/3/16" of 01 thickness, and in your hand its SWEET!! Its got great balance in your hand with the balance point being just ahead of the palm swell. John did a beautiful job contouring the micarta handles, w/approx 3/4" of width across the top including the spine. For my hands, thats perfect!! The fit of this knife is top-notch!! I have seen many knives that cost much more not have near the fit & finish John has put on this Huron Bushcrafter. The shallow finger groove in the handle is one smooth continuous line blending right back into the handle design...its perfect!! The Scandi grind is approx 3/8" up the blade (not sure of the angle) which to me seems like the right amount. Enough so you have a sharp heavy cutting edge, yet high enough so you could use this knife forever without ever having to worry about having any trouble what so ever putting an edge back on this scandi.

I love this knife...I cant wait to get the Huron Bushcrafter 2 in hand after this. I also sending out 2 more to John, one being a Huron Hunter and another being a Huron EDC. I am really proud to be having JK Handmade knives building these knives and if anyone is waiting to pull the trigger on one of John's knives, dont wait any longer. I promise you you will not be disappointed in John's craftsmanship...its 1st Class!!

Glad to see it made it there ok. The handle fit me really well too, simple in design, but extremely comfortable.

Damn... that looks nice. I think I'm gonna have to bite on an HB2.

That's just the beginning. You have to consider different woods, finishes, and edge grinds on the same models.
Personally I would like a half dozen different Camp Knives to coordinate with whatever I'm wearing.;)

Wonder if I could convince my wife of this? Would make buying the knives a lot easier on the home front. :D

I'm in the same boat, just when I thought I didn't need another knife !:(

As soon as you have pics of the HBII I'll be deciding which one I like and you can add my name to the list :)
