A buddy of mine asked me to make his parents a Chef's knife as a Christmas gift for them. Their house was flooded when Hurricane Harvey went thru the Houston area, and their piano was ruined. He asked that I use a piece of maple from that piano as the handle. He also wanted a shorter version (7" instead of 8"), and I really like how it turned out. 52100 62HRC, thin edge geometry, of course! Super sharp..took a wicked edge. Satin poly on the handles for protection. Thanks for looking!

Thank you, sir! I am not a fan of blonde wood, especially blonde wood with no figure. When I look at this knife, meh. But it's what was requested (and provided).

Thanks! It was my friends idea, I just made it happen for him. He was thrilled with the knife, so I'm happy!
