Hey guys and gals,
We survived Hurricane Ike with minimal damage (in Huntsville), thank the Lord. We're about 100 miles inland, so it was down to a category 1 by the time it came over us. Loads of trees down, and lots of cleanup, and still no power (probably will be Monday or so.) I'm operating sparingly with a generator as gas is still hard to come by...
Anyway, we've had some down time so I've done some sheathwork. The one below I did in the dark mostly --- the first time I've ever done a backwards sheath!!! (it accidentally turned out left-handed!) I was going to redo it, but decided that I needed at least one left handed sheath, lol. It was supposed to be a "globe" theme
Here's the deal, after thinking about it, instead of making myself another one, I've decided to do a sheath giveaway.
I've been a part of this great community for a long time now, and it's time to give something back. This is my way of saying THANKS to Jerry and the entire Busse gang, as well as to all you great guys and gals here at the forums   This place is really UNIQUE in the cyber-world...
The sheath is a beefy HOG ASH-1 sheath, right-hand carry, mid-to-low ride, rust color, and with a simple tooled cross theme.
My work is not the quality of some of the pros around here, but it'll definitely be "user capable."
The contest is open to all Hogs who have a HOG ASH-1 knife.
If you want in, just post a pic of your HOG ASH-1 in this thread, one entry per person. No artistry needed, your entry number will be your post number.
My daughter will pick a random number winner on Sunday, September 21, 5pm. I hope to be able to ship (shipping on me) to the winner on Monday morning
THANKS again to the Busse crew, you guys make this place awesome
