Just a quick note to those interested. 10% of all sales of my knives will be donated to the Red Cross or some similar charity (of which I am researching now) towards the relief efforts in New Orleans. That from Last week through the next 30 days or as long as this catastrophe lasts, any sales of Derespina Knives from dealers or directly from me 10% of each sale will go straight to the Red Cross. I am currently taking orders again and the wait is approximately 6 to 8 months now. If you order a knife from a dealer, I would ask that you email me with proof of your purchase and I will take 10% of that purchase price from my pocket and toss it in the donation pile. If you order directly from me and leave a deposit, I will take 10% of the total cost of the knife from the deposit and donate that as well. If you aren't in the market for a knife, I would ask that you give instead directly to the Red Cross or some similar grass roots group. Thanks and take care.... Rich

madcap_magician, thanks bro! The Kris is a newer project that I am doing more of and so far so good.

It is the least I could do, no thanks necesarry. Thank you and take care....Rich

I checked out your web site all kerambits, lol... can you give us any more details on that kris?

madcap_magician, The Kris is D2 with an offset double chisel grind. ground to zero. If you can tell, it has one minor bevel and one major bevel on either side so if you looked at it head on it forms an almost diamond or rather square shape. Which I think is excellent for penetration! Especially with the tip being so pointy (usually you see Kris' ground with a rather rounded tip like with BM's). The Handle materail on that one in particular is black and tan G 10 with black pins. The finish is Jeweled. The thickness is just under 3/16" and the blade is just tad bit under 4" length. I have made several of them all a bit different though. The blades are essentially the same but the handle configurations have all been slightly different.

Keith, thanks bro. Can't help but feel for the people there who'e lost so much.

Take care...Rich

Man, that kris is evil. And you, you're definitely charging tooo muchhh for your knives if you can afford to be so generous! :D

But nice going anyway. They sure can use the help.

Crazily enough, one of my dealers set the prices a few years back completely by accident. Since then people stuck with them and I couldn't change them for fear of ripping off those who already paid dealer price. After that it all just snowballed.....LOL Thanks and just doing what anyone with a conscience would do.

Anyone not interested in a knife, by all means...go to the super market and do some shopping. Cereals, canned goods, ready made dry foods and non perishables. Then find your local New Orleans food drive and donations program and contribute. First thing my wife and I did was go shopping and donate all the food to a local group that had a truck that was going to New Orleans the next day. Assured all food would fill and warm the bellies of those who have been effected by the Hurricane.

Last time around, so far a few bucks will be headed out to those in need. :D
