Hurricane Knife?

I live in southwest Louisiana. We experenced Hurricane Lili
this week. After seeing it was going to make contact with us,
my family rushed to pack and get out of her path. We could only
take with us the bare necessities. Now which knife did I bring
with me? Well, I slipped into my back pocket the Lil' Temperance.
Why? Confidence, that's why. It's strong enough to handle most
jobs I require and small enough to "sit" on for a LONG drive (those
evacuation lines are long).
The bottom line is, we came out of this OK and so did Lil' Temp.
Thank You!

...I'm glad to read that you made it through "Lili" ok. I lived in Gulfport, MS back in '80-'82, and went through a pretty strong hurricane myself (it was a catagory "3"), and although the STRONG wind, rain, and flooding wasn't much fun, the "hurricane party" that my CRAZY neighbors put-on was a blast.:D.

BTW...At that time, I had a Spydie Endura with me, if I remember correctly, but now-a-days it'd be my PE Chinook.

Somehow fitting that the back-up you choose during HURRICANE LILI is the LIL TEMPERANCE.

The similarity between LIL' and LILI is obvious, but I'm fairly sure that TEMPERANCE comes from the same word root as TEMPEST ~ Hurricane.

Spooky.

Where's that dictionary...?

Glad to hear that you came out okay Gull Wing. I live in Slidell and we weathered Lili much better than Isidore. I carried my Calpyso PE and Military PE for both storms. Can't have too many on you for emergencies. We stayed at home for both storms but had Lili come this way we probably would have gone elsewhere.

take care

i live in pensacola, and we only got some rain and wind from lili. but we got alot from isidore. power went out for about 18 hours and the wind was pretty bad. thank god it wasnt more then a tropical storm. But my spydies kept me safe;);) Dam our weather.

I am glad you weathered Lili OK, and that the storm weakened. I have relatives in Crowley. Texas is in a homeowner's insurance crisis right now, and many of us have NO COVERAGE right now, so we were glad to dodge this bullet this time.
