Okay the auctions are about to end... and I'm debating between these 3 knives for my 1st in a long time since my older Gerber:

1) Kershaw Tact blurr Tanto (440A DLC) | 3.375in

2) Boker Wagner BK-B051 (440C) | 3.875in

3) BenchMade Griptillian (154CM) | 3.45in

I'm leaning more toward the Boker b/c it just looks vicious, but it's a little larger than the others... next I like the looks of the Kershaw, but i KNOW the BenchMade is a much better knife....
__Lastly if I do go with the BenchMade, how high should I bid?

Thanks guys!

Notice it's his first post. It seems to be an inept attempt at spam -- he was just too stoopid to put in working links to his auctions on his first try, and K.V. Collucci saw what he was doing and made him walk the plank before he could fix it.

After looking into this more deeply we're not so sure he was intending to spam, so we're reinstating him.

Hrmm you're making non-sense and presuming right off the bat... Not very diplomatic, nor helpful.... PS- I didn't post the links b/c I didn't want someone claim jumping the auctions... $46 For a BenchMade 550SBK??? Too good to potentially pass up if you like Sheep's foot... :jerkit: <--- :D

ANYHOW: I ended up getting the Boker. It seems a tad bit larger than what I'm used to carrying around, and hopefully nobody will flip out esp since it looks like nothing else I've ever seen before- Like some deep sea fish in the complete darkness... wtf am I talking about? I really wanted to get the BenchMade, but I didn't like the modded sheep's foot, but what a deal someone got– that auction ended at [bold]$46!![/bold] I was looking for the Tanto, but maybe I'll get one of those as my next gift to myself, since the Spyderco ATR was way out of what I wanted to spend atm... God I've never seen a Spyderco like it! Wish they'd make more models like that. I don't like their typically used blade profile. The Kershaw's quick action release is pratically an automatic! I tried it out at a dealer and a slight lift and SNAP the blade is out faster than I could flick my old Gerb E-Z-out 450! Hopefully my new toy won't spawn an addiction (I know it will, I was before!)

Thanks guys...

It helps to familiarize yourself with the board before jumping to your OWN conclusions. There are rules to how things are done here, and for all we knew you were posting items on your OWN auction as it was your first post. Wouldn't be the first time someone has SPAMMED the site with auction links in an attempt to stir up traffic.

And they did reinstate your account after ensuring that you were legit.

Congrats on your buy, and welcome to BFC! I'd have gone after the Benchmade myself, but that's just me.

I'm sorry about the confusion guys, no harm intended :foot:

I cannot wait to get my new knife, I'll probably be flicking it out and lubing it up and what not non-stop! I'm already trying to figure out what new knife to get after this one... That Spyderco ATR REALLY hit me, I WANT THAT KNIFE! :D

I wish the metallurgists could make a harder Titanium alloy, I'm not too found of coatings and all that extra chromium added blah blah... I truly maintenance free knife blade would be awesome!!!

That's what she said!!!

Welcome to the forum V12! What a great way to become initiated to the BF! Banned on your first post and you weren't even spamming! :)

I got in trouble a couple of times, but the Moderators are pretty fair. They can sniff out who is intending to break the rules and those who make an innocent mistake.

Congrats on the first of MANY knives! You can get the Tanto Blur at Wal-Mart any day for $55. I think its a GREAT knife! If you want a smaller EDC (every day carry) knife, try the Kershaw Leek! Do a search on the Leek and you will find that 99.9% of Leek owners love it. Talk about FAST opening!

GO GIANTS!! Ha I'll be in NY for the new years and all that hub-bub! I'm waiting for the Boker to arrive so I can size it up and see if it's EDC'able. I'm debating possibly getting 970ST Emerson & of course that Mighty ATR... But I don't know if I'm ready to own a knife of that caliber. The cost is hard to rationalize also just for a "knife," a GREAT knife, but still a "knife," in my premature mindset.... I think I will get something along those lines soon, but there's just so many... No, TOO many great choices and styles I like. I cannot start another addiction!

THanks and Merry Christmas/HappyNewYear!!!!

V12, welcome. Nice choice on knives. You should handle a Benchmade before your next purchase. Everybody seems to love the Axis lock on Benchmades. I recently bought my first Benchmade and have yet to fall in love with it though it is a well made knife. I did pick up a tanto Blur a while back. There is a seller on Ebay that currently has them for $49.95 with free shipping. I won't list his name so it won't look like I'm spamming. We don't want 2 people banned in the same thread.
