Watched Hurt Locker on DVD last night. It's a great film.

There are several scenes where the protagonist is using knives for some heavy duty work in the field. Didn't pause it to ID them but at one point it looked like he might of been using a Becker and another time it definitely looked like a Spyderco.

They got the job done but, it probably could've been done better with a Busse.

The thing of it is that it could always be done better with a Busse no matter what it is.

Yeah, you guys are all correct.

First time watching something like this since I inhaled INFI dust and contracted the sickness. :o

It's always done better with a Busse, even if it doesn't require a knife.

Still - check out the film and put an NMSFNO or your other favorite INFI blade in the hero's hands at the appropriate moments for a more enjoyable viewing experience.

EOD are often issued non-magnetic knives and probes, Mission titanium knives in particular. I horse traded for a Mission knife off a friend in EOD a couple of years ago before I retired, its a great blade.

I know that they used one of Ontario's new Ranger Series Afghan knives. Looks like a really stout piece of steel.

There are probably some legal issues relating to product placement and finances. Any recognizable product needs to be processed by the production department.
you cant just put whatever you want in films anymore...stupid laws and such:)

Crappy movie, one of the most unrealistic war movies of all time.

Ummm, just about everything that comes out of Hollyweird is a disappointment. They don't deal in reality, it's just entertainment. I mean look at Mark Wahlberg. He makes a darn good living glorifying Guns in films, but in reality is a big anti-gun guy. ;)

Justin from Ranger Knives made the custom for this movie, and then he Auctioned it off for charity towards some war vets. Good fun movie..

if you want realistic watch the news.. if you want fun action, watch the movie.. :)
