My 26" all purpose Husqvarna axe was stolen from my truck over the weekend (among a couple other things). I'm angry, but more than anything, I'm hurt. As silly as it may aound, I was attached to that axe.
That axe has been with me for the better part of six years. When I lived in West Virginia, it got used frequently for breaking down fire wood. I have literally warmed myself by fires from wood I've prepped with that axe. That axe has rode with me (literally) for years now.
I take great care of my things. So whoever the scumbag is that stole that axe, got a good one. It was hair popping sharp and her leather bit was conditioned.
I'd like to replace her, but oddly enough I'm having trouble finding another one. I can order one directly from Husqvarna, but they have it listed for $100. I bought mine new for I believe $60.
So basically I'm just ranting in this thread. I'm hurt and angry. But if you all know of a lead for a Husqvarna 26" axe, let me know. I see Amazon has one, but I have a funny feeling about it, considering Japanese writing is in the pictures. And not to mention all the pictures of bits broken in half. (Fake Husqvarna axes????)
Thanks for listening, all
