Is there any way to determine what company made the head on this ax?Web searches I have made say both Wetterlings and Hults Bruks have been used by Husqvarna.
 
Thanks for the replies,it looked like the Hults Bruks was straight where the handle was inserted where this one has the "flanges" where handle goes in.
 
some hults do have the beard and lugs (what I believe you were referring to as flanges)

the one in the pic I posted is the Husqvarna camping axe made by hults bruk. But yours looks a little different. Either way, congrats on the nice axe! if you ever want to sell it...
