Thanks for looking!

The air is blowing but not coming out cold. I know nothing HVAC, I did see ice has formed around the copper refrigerant pipe. We live in NC and the air is on for hours at a time.

I was down there with the edc gear, and got these pics with my phone and Surefire.

Can you help? :o I think the pipe might be frozen? Maybe a leak in copper pipe? Is there a cheap fix? (Much Thanks in advance!!!)

The ice is about 1/2 inch thick around the pipe.

And some sticker round the pipes

Thanks for ANY input! We are running the fan only, changed the return filters......I will see if it thaws any in a few hours.

This will often happen when the humidity is high and the freon level in your unit is low. (I know...they don't use freon...was using a generic term) Have your HVAC guy out, may just need the freon level topped off.

Most likely cause is low freon level. The hard part is finding out where it went. R-22 doesn't break down as long as it is kept pressurized, so there has to be a leak somewhere, and they can be a real pain to find and fix. Just adding more will get you going again, but if the leak isn't fixed, it will be a recurring problem.

Call a HVAC professional. This problem is beyond average homeowner repair.

I'm an HVAC pro. As everyone already said, it's either airflow (filter or really dirty blower) or refrigerant. Turn the system off as you're just wasting energy until the unit is serviced.
