Good day to you all!

I thought it might be "CoOl" if any of you out there in the HVAC/R trades could stop by, say whats up, list your current edc for work, and post a pic of what you are working with! Oh yeah... list the work pants you guys use that make it easy to carry all your gear!

For 2024 to Current my on person carry includes:
Channellock 6 in 1 driver
Channellock 6" needle nose
Air pods
Samsung Galaxy s23 plus
Milwaukee inkzal
Gil-tek Ruk
Folder (lately its been the spyderco para 3 LW in s45vs in anticipation of receiving a PM2 in rex76)
Eyeglasses (as much as i wish i had perfect vision I do appreciate the added protection of having eyeglasses on everyday)
Richarsaon 112 hat
Olight warrior nano (perfect fit for a Richardson 112 hat bill with enough juice to last me all day)
Watch (Its been the Garmin fenix 7 but i'm considering swaping it out for my seiko SNK for a thinner profile in those tight spots)
Van key with the niteize G series carabiner
Key bar (For the house key and mailbox key, i will leave this in the van due to it coming out of my pocket a few times in the field)
LAPG BFE Stretch Pants (they make easy and confortable to store all the gear)

What up! Hvac tech of 29 years here, actually 30 come August. I work for myself these days and I really do enjoy this line of work. Here’s my gear for today. I have a Veto Tech Pac tool backpack with more stuff than I need in it. I pretty well have all the hand tools, small Milwaukee driver, meter etc. And here’s the knives that I have on me today Demko 20S full ti kopis in 20cv, Strider SNG full ti performance fatty in 20cv, Spyderco Shaman black Micarta in xhp and Benchmade Mini Adamas brown micarta in cruwear. I usually wear Liberty overalls in the winter because they have plenty of pockets to carry with and super comfortable and don’t have to pull your pants up a thousand times a day. Perfect for fatboys like myself! 😂IMG_1067.jpegIMG_1068.jpegIMG_1069.jpegIMG_1070.jpegIMG_1074.jpegIMG_1075.jpegIMG_1077.jpegIMG_1071.jpegIMG_1072.jpeg

Nice! This is what i had in mind when starting the thread! Thanks for posting.
I see the new fieldpice w/sight glass core tool in there. I just ordered a pair to try out. The 2 (one vc1g and one vc2g) will replace my 3 appions.

This is my favorite screw driver. Because it has the 3/8” socket. Plus the square drive for electrical emt connectors

6” channel locks are always in my pocket.

I like this set of Xcelite nut drivers with the hollow shafts I also have the allen wrenches. IMG_4472.jpeg

But these magnetic drivers are handy too. The Malco handle is a game changer.

I'm thinking about a DIY Mr. Cool mini split.

Whataya think?
I know my boys have been out to fix many mistakes on them, when installed by homeowners trying to save money. they dumbed it down but still not enough for a lot of folks.

I kinda like them and other online selling equipment direct to homeowners. as it brings more revenue and i don't have to cover any warranty costs from the install....which is great.

That depends on your knowledge and skill levels. You will be making holes in the building wall for the tubing and you will be mounting the in-room unit. You will be running the tubing down to the compressor. You will be doing electrical connections. And you need all the tubing joints to be completely gas tight, which can be tricky if you are not familiar with it.

I hired a contractor to install mine. And I am not without skills.

Never installed one... what about evauation? do they come with pump and micron guage?
