I had a pretty crazy idea and I wanted to run it by some people who might know a bit about it. Bare with me here.
What I'm wanting to do is basically take a tanto blade from a griptilian and put it in the scales of an HK axis knife. Here's what I know:
The blade length should not be an issue because the HK blade is longer so the grip blade should fit.
The HK blade is slightly thicker than the grip blade so to make it work I'd also need to use the standoffs and axis bar from the grip as well. (Anyone know where to get griptilian standoffs?)
What I'm really wondering however is if the pivots are the same size, and will the grip blade have issues with the standoffs?
Or maybe I could simplify and just take the HK scales off and put them on the griptilian with the correct standoffs? Liners are similar enough.
Anyway, just something I'd like to try IF I get some good feedback.
