hybrid sheaths

Was just wondering how many out there are doing hybrids and was going to see if you have any pointers this is the first one I have completed its a t.m.huntcustomknives magua

This is .80 kydex wrapped in leather and sewn together.

I have not done one but that looks pretty cool. Can you show a pic of the back.

Had problems with the presser foot as you can see on the hilt but this was a experiment to see if it could be done plus a new sewing machine trying to work the bugs out all and all I thought it came out ok.

Did you glue the leather to the Kydex and I assume it doesn't but , does the stitching go through the Kydex ?

Yes we did glue it all together then we sewed thru all of it so it went thru 2 layers of leather and 2 layers of kydex. As you can see here

The tipman sewing machine is awesome it will sew thru 3/4 of a inch of leather. So this was easy for it to do.

What kind of glue did you use on this? I'm doing a hybrid pancake style holster and need to glue the leather to kydex
