Which vavle do need for a press. open center/closed center???
I had a list of parts from Indian George but my puter crashed :grumpy:

Hey Sweaney, Double check with Ron Claiborne (his contact info is on my website), but if I remember correctly it's an open center valve...I'm not at home right now, so can't check.....but give Ron a call and he'll be able to tell you in case no-one else chimes in right away...

:)

Mike, the Northern Supply part number is 2010. "Prince Std 4-way control valve"

Hope that helps some.

Hey Darren...I emailed you. Email back if you get a chance. ;) No worries if I dont hear from you...

Dan, if I may ask, why the 2020 over the 2010? That part about automatic return to neutral at full stroke has me confused. Is that a good thing? (One of the things I like is that I can leave the cylinder extended and use the press as the best danged vise around for holding a billet for twisting.

I put the 2010 on my press based on Buxton's parts list, which was based on George's, I thought??

One thing's for certain, get one with an adjustable relief. Either does that.

Mike
I put that up as an example
there are a lot of them listed on the site..
but I'm thinking that would be on the return stroke ? and if not it may be abled to reverse it.
some log splitters do that, so you can let go of the lever on the return and it will go by itself then flips itself off.
saving time standing there..I'll have to look at that one again..

That sounds like a cool feature for a log splitter. I've only worked with one ever, and it was manual lever control both directions.
