Hydraulic Press

What do you want the press for, what is the intended purpose, how big, floor, bench top.
I have a plan for a larger one I think a floor model I could scan tonight after work.
Harbor freight makes some small inexpensive stuff unless you want to build your own or don't use china stuff.

I only do what the voices in my wifes head tell me to do.
It's kinda like hangin, you never get used to it.
 
The press is for forging. I have my forge built & 220# Fisher anvil. So if I'm going in the proper order,the press is nexted. I was told that it is quieter than a air hammer.

I was headed down a different road, I don't do any forging. Sorry I cannot be of any help.

I.G speaking from experiance contact someone that makes what you want, suck up and buy it. you can forge a lot of blades in the time it takes to build a press. the price will be a killer but it is worth it. Riverside Machine@ 870-642-7643 sells a good one. a lot of forgers are using it. I built mine it works great, I should've bought his. the knives I would have made would have more than paid for it. .05 worth.
