New video on Kabar's YouTube says te handles are made out of Hylon? Is that new?

Sorry if this is old

Man, I can't tell the difference lol.
They came on the BK20 listed as Hylon but I immediately swapped them. Now I don't even know which ones they are in my spares or if they're on another knife.

Just a different trade name from a different company. Basically the same material.
Zytel and Hylon are both nylons. Just different brand names.

At least...this is what I am led to believe...

and grivory - all 3 are trade names for essentially the same thing.
same as Garolite is a brand name for a particular company's G10.

kinda like the difference between Zima and Smirnoff.

they both get the job done, but someone else is making the money

I was just on tomars and now it says all the handles are made out of ultramid. I checked kabar to confirm.

Soooo grivory, zytel, hylon, and now ultramid kabar just can't decide.

To avoid confusion, I will heretofore refer to the stock handle scales as nylon, or plastic if I'm feelin' nasty...
