I finally scored Chad Los Banos' newest designs from Boker, the MType and Hyper. I bought both in PE, and after handling them, I believe Daywalker has "done it again"... :) Solid framelocks that have nil bladeplay, with excellent ergonomics that are synonymous with CLB designs..... like the SubcomF variants and the Trance, the factory edges are pleasingly sharp but the steel is now 440C and the recurved blades are high saber flat? ground and have that "smoked chrome" finish. Both knives have black G-10 scales with nested steel liners; the Hyper has "slots"/grooves machined throught the G-10/steel liner unit that lighten the weight considerably and assist with handle purchase/traction (remniscent of the Adventura). The G-10 scale of the much bigger M Type is "unperforated" and has a solid nested steel liner.....the M Type feels and looks about twice the size of the Hyper .... it is "stout" and beefy in the hand, reminds me of a "slender" MiniManix in the hand...
I strongly encourage any knifenut who enjoys /appreciates :spyder: Clipits to check out any of Boker's CLB designed folders.... you really have to hold/use these knives to appreciate them (much like Clipits being called fugly)..... I was not initally "taken" with the appearances of the SubcomF or the Trance when I first saw pix posted of them  ;)
If you check out Boker's CLB designs I believe that you will be pleasantly impressed, as I was, especially at their "affordable" price points... ;)

Sorry about the poor lighting in some of my pix, i'll try to take some later when there's sunlight ... :o :)
Here are some comparison pix with a Camo SubcomF, note how large the M Type is compared to the Hyper.

Congratulations Chad, I think you've hit two more homeruns outta the ballpark!

That M- Type looks freakin' awesome!!!
I always restrained myself from getting a Mini-manix for its clunkyness appearance when blade closed. I think this m-type is a compacter design so less obstrusive for pocketcarry. Good alternative i would think.

Now a pe or ce one hmmm have to think that over.

You're right Maarten, the MType is thinner/lighter than the MiniManix...much less bulky in the pocket ;) If I white-knuckle the MType I do not discern any flexion ....the nested steel liner in the G-10 is a good thing, so are the textured finger-like grooves in the G-10 scale of the M Type....excellent traction even with wet hands :p

Very nice pictures of some very nice CLB knives. These two look great. M-type looks big!
