Man, a lot of people happy with more of the same. Surprising but speaks to the quality of 1095.

1095 would keep it affordable.

Also, it could be done in a custom color with the BeckerHead logo on it in place of the BK16 etch.

And if you don't already have a BH# then you could get an honorary one for the purchase.

I like the honorary beckerhead number idea... seeing as how I don't yet have one :D You think D2 would make it much more expensive?

D2 is harder. So it's harder to manufacture a knife from it. So I hear anyway. Manufacturing costs go up. I am sure the raw material cost is higher too. So more pricey.

Kabar already does D2, so it wouldn't be as expensive as trying to do it in any of the other steels. I'm under the impression that this would be a Bladeforums knife not a Beckerhead or Becker forums knife, so why the talk of Beckerhead logos and such?

i just dont see what would be the point of having a LE in the same steel type (as much as i love the quality and affordability of 1095). Why not just buy a standard production run, strip and add micarta? I could see an affordable stainless over D2 though.

Just think it would be cool. Can't really be a beckerhead without bladeforums. So not like they aren't tied together.

I really like this idea.

154cm would best

s30v might be desirable, but probably won't happen

D2 is very possible, but doesn't thrill me

Almost all of my knives and all 3 of my Beckers are in 1095. I'd like to see something different. Curiosity mainly, also the tweeners are already to be made in 1095. Seems redundant.

I can get down with stainless but why do you favor the 154cm? Would it be more cost effective or just personal preference? I don't have much experience with the quality stainless types.

I don't see the point of going 1095 on a special run. This is a golden opportunity to get a stainless one built up.
