I’m sorry for my last thread

Hey all,

A couple days ago I made a post in folding knives for sale by individuals. I got frustrated and called it ”eat a bag of hot dogs ya jerks”.

I have been struggling with alcoholism for a year and a half. Last year I quit drinking and have fallen off the wagon twice. My post two days ago was while I was blackout drunk. I’m embarrassed and ashamed. I’m sorry.

I’ve gone through some shit over the last 20 years and for 17 of those years I’ve been on BF. I love this place and love the folks I get to interact with. Again, I’m sorry.

David, I did not catch said thread, but it sounds bad. Nevertheless, there is nothing I respect more than when someone who has done wrong can own it, apologize, and move forward. That takes courage and humility, two things I sorely lack, though I try to work on them. Thank you for the example.

Oh man. Never expected this. Thank you all so much. It really means a lot.

Yeah, my dad always told me it was better to own up to your mistakes and just correct them next time. Thankfully he's still alive, and I'm going to see him later today.
